I had no idea these sort of places even existed until now. When these places were open I was in the age group for these places as well, so I don't know if the area I lived in was just too far from any or if my parents just didn't want to take me.

I went to young ameritowne as a kid! I worked at the bank as an accountant. I had to write out the checks to everyone I worked with as well as, you know, account money. I wanted to do all the math as I, strangely, liked to do math back in 4th grade. I also got scammed out of a custom engraved dogtag. They took my class but not my brother's class when he was in 4th grade for some reason if I'm remembering correctly. Maybe I should start bugging him about that more.

God, this video is so subpar, you can clearly tell this is one of defunctlands earlier works as this goes into barely any detail on the park and spends several minutes on things unrelated to Euro Disneyland, this NEEDS to be remade dearly, with defunctlands modern quality, cuz they are amazing now and I would love to see this covered with the attention it deserves and frankly didn't at all get here.

I love how you sometimes break character and let your own opinion through. It makes the video a lot more enjoyable

The concept, as we can see in modern games, is actually genious. And in high demand among kids. But its also increadably flawed and volotile.

its still so weird and kind of cool to go back to these very early defunctland videos where kevin is v pround of his 25k subscribers when nowadays he has almost 2 million and has released many masterpiece videos (fastpass & disney channel videos specifically). its like watching recordings of famous musicians at the very beginning of their careers. anyways still good work i come back to marathon the lot aha

So I worked at the Brooklyn Children's Museum for nearly three years. I literally jumped when it was mentioned, never did I expect to see my former workplace mentioned in a Defunctland Video. At the time I left (Nov. 2023) BCM still had a little grocery store, and a pizza shop kids could pretend to work in. They were easily the most popular attractions in that part of the museum.

Went to one of these for a school trip. Worked at an auto shop. My boss was friends with the other employee. They both got long and multiple breaks while I had one short one. The excuse was that I worked advertising so I was outside most of the time. Felt like I didn’t really get a good experience.

If you think about it, this is just a way to show how our kids what they have to look forward to with the government. Like “Hey kids! See this awesome job!? Great! You gotta pay us to have it! And then when we tax you, you better not be a penny off or you face felonies :D”
